They completed our three-week stint of visitors from far-away lands. Mike's mom packed clothes for beautiful, warm spring weather, the kind that we have been enjoying a lot in St. Louis, but she was disappointed to be met with dreary, rainy, windy, cold days, the kind that she is used to having in Minnesota; it even snowed one morning. So we did a lot of stuff inside but also managed to go for a few walks. Grandpa happily carried the big boy during our walks. The two boys were also early morning pals to give mama and papa a few extra winks.

On Saturday we went over to St. Louis and ate lunch at one of our favorite places--Maggiano's.
Then we stopped at the beautiful little Carmelite monastery near the restaurant to pray for a bit and take some pictures outside.

Grandma Peggy stayed a few extra days, and Kristin was really grateful to her for all her help around the house. Also, she offered to babysit so that Mike and Kristin could go on their first real date since Mikey had been born. They had so much fun going to the mall (where they ended up buying clothes for...guess who...Mikey!!!), to Houlihan's for dinner, and to adoration at St. Teresa's. And Mikey had a great time at home with Grandma, eating mango and rice for dinner, playing on the floor, and enjoying his pre-bed bath.
Even though we didn't get to spend Easter with Mike's folks, we were very grateful to get a chance to spend Palm Sunday with them. Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa Towle, for being so generous and loving in all you do. Mikey has four of the best grandparents!!!
